What age do I have to be to take a crash course?

You must be at least 17 years old and hold a UK provisional license.

Will I be taught by fully qualified instructors?

Of course! 100%! All our drivers are DSA qualified. We only use drivers of the highest standards ensuring that you get the best possible training in Glasgow. We don’t use trainee tutors on either our crash courses or general driving lessons. So rest assured you are training with fully qualified, non-trainee, driving instructors.

Do I need to have passed my driving theory test before I book a course with Crash Course Glasgow?

You do need to have taken and passed your theory test before you take the practical test but you do not need to do that before taking a crash course. We can book your theory test as past of your package and make sure that you are up to scratch when it comes time to do the test. Just get in touch to discuss your options.

Does the price of a crash course cover the costs of my theory test?

No it doesn’t unless stated in our price list but we will take care of your theory test booking for a small fee. Again, you don’t need to worry about this as all will be covered once you sign up with us.

Does the price of the crash course cover the cost of my practical driving test?

Unless stated in our price list, the cost of the practical test is not covered in the overall price but we can book this for you for the cost of the practical test and as part of your intensive course booking.

Is it possible to pass my driving test in only one week?

Yes it is possible to pass your test in one week. Some of our committed students have done so. You do need to have passed your theory test though beforehand. We can schedule that to coincide with your crash course. Get in touch today and let us help you achieve your one week goal of passing your driving test.

Will I have to share with another student when taking my crash course?

No. The only other person in the car with you will be your driving instructor. All your tuition will be conducted on a one to one basis to unsure you have our undivided attention and to give you the best chance of passing your test first time.

On average how many hours driving lessons does it take to pass your test?

This is impossible to say for sure but on average is takes around 45-55 hours with a driving instructor to give you the best chance of passing, according to the UK Driving Standards Agenvy(DSA). Your chances of passing are greatly enhanced by taking an intensive course because of the intensity of many hours training over a short period.

How much do your intensive/crash courses cost?

We have quite a few options to choose from when booking your crash course depending on your needs, level of experience and time you can devote to an intensive course. To find out more click here to see our price list.

What happens if I fail my driving test after a crash course?

You will be assessed at the end of your crash course to see if you’re ready for your driving test,  to make sure that you are competent enough to pass the practical test. If you do fail first time round then you have the option to book more lessons on a week to week basis until you resit the test.

Do you only cover the Glasgow area?

No. We not only offer crash courses in all of Glasgow but we also cover Paisley, Anniesland, Bearsden, Clydebank, Hyndland, Maryhill, Milngavie, Partick and many other areas around Glasgow.

Do I have to pay a deposit for my crash course?

Yes you MUST pay a non-refundable deposit before we will book you in for a driving course. To see a full list of our prices and subsequent deposits please visit our price list page. The remainder of your payment will be due on the first day of your crash course.

What payment methods do you offer?

All deposits are taken via Paypal. This is free to join if you don’t already have a paypal account.
